As we bid farewell to 2023, it's time to look back on a year filled with accomplishments, growth, and exciting developments at our firm. From new faces joining our team to groundbreaking projects and notable achievements, here's a comprehensive recap of the key highlights from the past year:

New Additions to the Team

We welcomed several talented individuals to our family in 2023. The new hires include Brendan Spina, Micajah Tucker, Dan Wilder, Jing Yu, Connor Byrne, Matthew Cox, and Megan Brown, each bringing unique skills and perspectives to our dynamic team.

Capturing Moments Through Photography

Photographer Raj Das captured the essence of various projects this year, including stunning visuals from Lower Basin Barracks, York Judicial Center, Wellesley College Severance Hall, Boston University’s Kilachand Honors College Residence Hall, Brandeis University’s Brown Social Science Center, and The First Church of Christ Scientist. These images showcase the creativity and innovation that define our work.

Groundbreaking Ventures and Project Milestones

This year marked the initiation of construction and groundbreakings for projects such as 45 East Central Street in Natick, MA, Gladstone Elementary School in Cranston, RI, Advanced Math and Science Academy Academic Building in Marlborough, MA, and the anticipated La Victoire at 25 Isabella Street in Boston, MA. The dedication and hard work put into these ventures are evident as they move from concept to reality.

Recognition and Awards

We are honored to have received prestigious awards in 2023, including the AIA Justice Facilities Review Award for the Cornelius F. Kiernan Judicial Center, the Architectural Precast Award for the York Judicial Center, and the Officer Station Design Awards for the Lower Basin Barracks. These accolades reflect our commitment to excellence in architecture and design.

Engaging in Conferences

Throughout the year, our team actively participated in various conferences, fostering knowledge exchange and networking. Events such as the Society for College and University Planning, AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice, Massachusetts Library Association, MASC MASS Joint Conference, Women’s Leadership Summit, Northeast Sustainable Energy Association Conference, Urban Land Institute Spring Meeting, and the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education Conference provided valuable insights and connections.

Making Headlines

Our achievements and contributions didn't go unnoticed in the media. Highlights include Regan Shields Ives becoming Board President of the Boston Preservation Alliance, Megan Hoover joining the Boston Preservation Alliance’s Young Advisors Board, Rebecca Berry’s Authority Magazine Interview, and The Boston Globe interview featuring principals Rebecca Berry and Ellen Anselone.

Celebrating Promotions

We are proud to announce the well-deserved promotions of Marketing Manager Lauren Hickey and Senior Project Manager Steve Walnut to the Associate level, recognizing their outstanding contributions and dedication.

Showcasing Our Work Through Video

The video of our work at the Eliot Innovation School at 585 Commercial Street in Boston’s North End provided a captivating glimpse into our design philosophy and showcased the artistry and thoughtfulness that goes into designing educational spaces.

Nurturing Future Talent

Our internship program welcomed Utsav Kalathiya, Kiana Nguyen, Sihan Zhao, and Jillian Routhieaux, providing them with invaluable experiences and contributing to the development of future leaders in the field.

Embarking on New Projects

The year saw the initiation of 11 exciting projects, representing our ongoing commitment to innovative and impactful design.
