Finegold Alexander Architects Announces Four Key Team Member Promotions

Finegold Alexander is delighted to announce the promotions of four key members of our staff! Architects Ron Lamarre AIA, ALEP, ALA, LEED-WELL AP, and Mary McCarthy AIA, LEED AP BD+C, have been promoted to Senior Associate, and Megan Brown, AIA, CPHD, LEED AP, and Leah Wolkovich-Quartey, AIA, LEED AP, promoted to Associate.

With over 33 years of experience, Ron has designed K-12 schools and public libraries across New England including New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine, additionally he has worked with many higher education institutions. Ron specializes in designing innovative and sustainable educational environments that encourage life-long learning. Known for his collaborative approach, he engages with clients and communities to create meaningful spaces. Ron’s dedication to client service and listening results in designs focused on fostering growth, resilience, and unique solutions.

Also promoted to Senior Associate, Mary has over 17 years of experience managing diverse design and construction teams and values energetic collaboration as it allows the team to create something worthwhile. This includes her work at the recently completed The Newbury of Brookline, a new 220,000 SF Senior Living Facility in Brookline, MA and she is currently working with The Community Group on a new 45,000 SF facility in Lawrence, MA to better enhance their programs focused on promoting the healthy development of children. Mary is also an integral member of the firm’s in-house sustainability group and was a co-chair of the BSA Women in Design committee.

As the firm’s FA Energy Manager and newly promoted Associate, Megan brings a holistic mindset to work with clients and collaborators as they seek to decarbonize their campuses or facilities. With more than 13 years of experience, she also leads our firm’s in-house sustainability group as her true passion lies in high-performance buildings, building science, and sustainable materials.

Also promoted to Associate, Leah brings over 12 years of experience and a keen eye for construction detailing honed from her robust experience bringing projects from schematic design through to construction. She has worked on both new construction and renovation projects, with a focus on institutional and educational clients and is passionate about creating safe and supportive learning environments for students, teachers, administrators, and parents.

Megan is currently working on Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center and UMass Boston projects and Leah is Project Architect for JV Fletcher Library Addition/Renovation project.
