WBZ CBS Boston recently featured The Lucas at 136 Shawmut Avenue, a Finegold Alexander project located in Boston’s South End. The original 1874 German Trinity Catholic Church was transformed into one of Boston’s modern pieces of luxury. The design stabilized the historic façade and fit eight stories of units of varying sizes, from one-bedrooms to four-bedrooms into the Gothic shell. A few of the design elements highlighted in the piece include the use of natural light to create a welcoming and bright interior environment, the chosen historic elements preserved to pay respect and homage to the building’s rich history and the optimization of outdoor space, a crucial element when it comes to living in the city.
