Gabriela (she/her) is an architect practicing, writing, and teaching in Boston. She was born and raised in Brazil, and is also a citizen of Italy. At Finegold Alexander, she brings her experience and enthusiasm to academic projects of all shapes and sizes, having worked on buildings ranging from Pre-K through Higher Education throughout Massachusetts and the upper Midwest.

Gabriela holds an M. Arch from North Dakota State University, where she held two graduate research assistantships and numerous on-campus jobs. She has taught studios at the Boston Architectural College and the University of Minnesota, and has continuously served with the AIA and NCARB at the local, state, and national levels.

Gabriela is a recipient of the 2020 AIA Young Architects Award. She greatly enjoys learning, dancing, boxing, and making things (including drawings).

Who is your hero? My grandmother.

What motivates you to work hard? The opportunity to impact people’s lives and hopefully bring more equity into the world.

Favorite thing about your career? At the end of the day, I still really enjoy drawing!

What languages do you speak? I speak Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
