In a master plan for the historic Charlestown Navy Yard, FA+A established a long-range strategy for mixed-use development. The two residential projects that were completed by FA+A - Building 42 and Pier 7. Building 42 is five massive, historic industrial structures - to provide 367 apartments and transformed the 60-foot high volume into a skylit atrium, extending 700 feet to connect three of the buildings.  Pier 7 is a new luxury town house community with 66 units situated on a 720-foot long pier.
