To assist the Walpole Public Library in creating one unified and modern library, Finegold Alexander + Associates Inc prepared a study to compare the feasibility of renovating and expanding the current building with construction of a new library on another site. Working closely with the building committee, the library director, and library staff, FA+A evaluated the current main library facilities and adjacent site and analyzed additional locations in order to determine the most program-effective and cost-sensitive option. The study addressed such problems as overcrowding and inadequate seating and parking.
