Located in Washington’s Federal Triangle, the Ariel Rios Building, formerly the new post office, was constructed between 1931 and 1934. Working closely with the General Services Administration, Finegold Alexander + Associates Inc designed the renovation and restoration of this prominent structure for an extended use as federal offices. Exterior work includes the restoration and cleaning of the stonework, decorative bronze fixtures, and fountain. All significant interior spaces were restored to their original appearance. FA+A also provided office space planning and interior design for the federal agency tenants.
