The Water Street Mill was the third factory in Williamstown and was built in 1873. Recently, the building site was purchased for offices and multi unit housing. Ten buildings (96,000 square feet) will be renovated, the remaining five warehouse structures of the 1940s -1960s will be demolished. FA+A is designing the adaptive use of buildings for multi unit housing. The site will contain 200 parking spaces, 70 units of housing in the existing buildings, 5 new townhouses and 14 new duplex homes. Additionally a new 11,000 sf office building with be integrated into the site.
