Berkshire School

FA+A has been commissioned by the Berkshire School for renovation and addition to Berkshire Hall, the main administrative and classroom building at the base of Mt.Everett. The classical revival Berkshire Hall was completed in 1931 and will be completely rehabilitated. A 7,200 sf addition containing new classrooms, head of school and administrative offices, and a multi-purpose Great Room with exterior terrace will complement the original design. The existing building will also contain classrooms, offices and a restored Fentress reading room. By replacing floor levels, providing new toilet rooms and elevator, universal access will be provided. In concert with the School's green campus strategy, Berkshire Hall will be LEED certifiable.
