Springfield Downtown Revitalization Plan

FA+A developed the first revitalization plan for Springfield, a city located on the Connecticut River in western Massachusetts. The project involved both the public and private sectors in the planning process, and included federal Community Development Block grants, the upgrading of services by the city, and the commitment of financial institutions to finance necessary development.  Recommendations included new construction, preservation and reuse of buildings, and upgrading of public open spaces.
