The Nott Memorial, built between 1858 and 1878, has long stood as the symbol of Union College. The 16-sided, 100-foot high Victorian Gothic structure is built of Ohio sandstone and Schenectady bluestone. FA+A was commissioned to design reuse plans for this special structure, and to direct the building's first comprehensive restoration. The building serves as a gathering space for speakers, temporary displays, or student meetings.
