This project involves the adaptive use of an existing 1920s New England campus building for laboratory, classroom and auditorium space. A key component of Tufts' expansion was the conversion of a former gymnasium and auditorium into a new Education Center for the veterinary school. Creative reuse of the building's large auditorium space and basement, including the insertion of a new floor, resulted in three floors of laboratory, classroom, and library facilities. Two double-height, 75-seat lecture halls were created by enclosing the existing auditorium balcony.
