Colby-Sawyer College, founded as a coeducational academy in 1837 and engaged in higher education since 1928, is an independent, coeducational, residential, under graduate college that strives to lead in offering co-equal education to women and men.   FA+A will update the campus master plan and design renovations, additions and adaptive use for three campus buildings. The fine arts center will be renovated and include an addition. A former science building and historic residence will be adapted for a new use by the college. The two mid-20th century buildings will be re-designed to complement the existing campus.
